Frequently asked questions
Are you a church?
No. Yahweh's Obedient Servants Ministry is called to do a work. That work does not fall within the “church” or “organized religion” concept. The problem with congregational organizations is that they invariably stray from their purposes and missions and become very much about politics, power and control. When we put our trust in the hierarchy of men we are let down time and time again. Any effort to establish a human organization as the Body of Yahshua in advance of His return is a waste of effort. Removing the “organizational” model and embracing Yahshua's Servant Leadership model we become servants one to another and become teachers and leaders by example, not by the top-down control that enforces obedience, but rather by patient instruction that helps people understand the Word of Yahweh and develop a desire to obey Him. We believe this concept of servant leadership gives glory to Yahshua our Savior and ultimately to Yahweh Himself.
If you are not a church, what are you?
We are fellow servants drawn together by the heartfelt desire to emulate Yahshua the Messiah in service to Almighty Yahweh and our fellow man. We are learning the ways of Yahweh, striving to live a righteous life, and engaging in a ministry of service to help others with their walk by bringing them the knowledge of truth. We strive to bring the light of Yahweh's Holy Word to the nations. As light-bringers we should seek out others who we can walk with and thus spread our light afar.
How are you helping people in their spiritual walk?
Yahweh's Obedient Servants Ministry offers support to individuals and local congregations through an educational service that provides printed literature, sermon and bible study recordings, and streaming audio and video instruction in the Word of Yahweh. These resources are used in the homes of people seeking bible truth, in their communities and in a cooperative outreach program to spread that instruction to others. Just like in Apostolic times, local congregations become established as these efforts grow. These small gatherings of truth-seeking people are then supported with materials from the ministry as they continue to grow in knowledge and truth.
What is the goal of Yahweh's Obedient Servants Ministry?
Simply put, our vision and goal is the Millennial Kingdom. The Great Commission must be fulfilled before Yahshua can return. We are working simultaneously on our own Salvation, while trying to accomplish the Greater Work of taking the news of Salvation to the nations. This website is the primary portal through which we work on all these platforms. We plan audio programming in the form of live streaming available on computer, as well as commercial radio and video production. The great commission is a common goal at the heart of many individuals who partner together to proclaim Yahweh's Name, teach observance of Yahweh's word and share His plan of salvation for mankind.
Are you associated with any other Sacred Name organizations?
The work of Yahweh is greater than any one person, family, ministry or organization. Yahweh’s Obedient Servants Ministry was founded to help our family and others who have joined in our effort to accomplish the goal of increasing our obedience to Yahweh and fulfilling the Great Commission. There are many ways that Almighty Yahweh moves to ensure His will is accomplished. To say that one group or organization holds the only method by which one can attain salvation is foolish. Yahweh's Obedient Servants Ministry seeks to offer help to anyone looking for bible truth. Cooperation with many groups and individuals is essential to accomplish this great work. It is unnecessary to make formal alliances with organizations when Yahweh is in control of His work. Yahweh's obedient servants offer help to anyone who is seeking the truth and welcome any and all cooperative efforts to forward Yahweh's work in these end times.
Are you affiliated with the Assemblies of Yahweh at Bethel, Pennsylvania?
Yahweh's Obedient Servants Ministry is not affiliated with the AOY at Bethel. Solomon Meyer, a servant in the work of Yahweh's Obedient Servants Ministry, is the son of the late Jacob O. Meyer who founded the Assemblies of Yahweh Bethel organization. After graduating from Penn State in 1993, Solomon began studying at Obadiah School of the Bible and graduated in 2001. He was ordained as a Deacon the following year. Solomon was one of the administrators of the AOY after Elder Meyer's death in 2010. Solomon Meyer left the Assemblies of Yahweh, Bethel in January, 2014 because he believed that Yahweh called him to do a work that could not be done within the context of that or any “organization”. Although once a member of the “preaching Eldership” of the AOY at Bethel, Solomon never took any title other than “Deacon”. This title is descriptive of servant characteristics and implies and denotes a servant and helper. Then, at the Feast of Tabernacles, held at Camp Shand, Pennsylvania in 2015, Deacon Solomon Meyer transitioned into a role of greater service in the Body of Messiah and was ordained as an Elder.
